The Choreography of Words
What happens when words find rhythm and movement begins to speak? Join me in reliving an unforgettable night of creative alchemy, where artists stepped beyond boundaries to craft performances that were as bold as they were beautiful. Let’s dive into the journey of connection, collaboration, and the art of storytelling in its most dynamic form.
Ringo1986 - A Journey of Resilience and Creative Truth
Experience Lina Petravičiūtė’s courageous journey with Ringo 1986, where each piece boldly reveals her resilience and the power of owning her story.
A Path to Quiet Joy
Diamond painting has become a surprising source of mindfulness and joy for me, teaching patience, focus, and the beauty of imperfection. Through this simple, meditative activity, I’ve found a new way to embrace gradual progress and creativity without pressure. Each session is a reminder to enjoy the journey, one tiny bead at a time.
Gardens of Emotions
It's all about the gardens—literal and emotional—that we tend to. Last year, I discovered Lietuvos Vizionieres by Elena, whose writing about emotions and mental health captivated me. After a serendipitous social media exchange, we met for coffee and formed a meaningful connection. Inspired by her work under the name "Elenas Garden of Emotions," I envisioned a photoshoot in her actual garden, bringing her writing to life. Last month, we made that happen, capturing the essence of both her spirit and her serene surroundings. I’m excited to share some of those beautiful moments.
Part of the Feast
Seeing my photograph published in The Word’s Faire “The Feast” has been a very special moment for me. As a photographer, I’ve always aimed to capture moments that tell a story, evoke emotion, and share beauty with the world. And to have this opportunity to be seen in the copy of the publication is a very special experience.

Straw, geometry and history
Crafting an authentic Lithuanian "sodas" is a deeply enriching experience that goes far beyond the creation of a beautiful object. A sodas., which translates to "garden" in English, is a traditional Lithuanian ornament made from straw, characterized by its intricate geometric designs. These delicate mobiles have been an integral part of Lithuanian culture for centuries, carrying profound symbolism and connecting the maker to a rich heritage of craftsmanship and spirituality.

Through My Father's Lens - “Moments from the Past”
In my vision, it was a sunny afternoon in 1964, and I can almost see a young Danielius Kvartunas, at the tender age of 16, holding his very first camera—a "Smena 6"—with a sense of pride and excitement. This simple, yet cherished, piece of equipment became an extension of his being, a portal through which he could freeze time and capture the essence of his surroundings. Decades later, we celebrate his - my fathers - legacy through a photography exposition that takes us on a journey back to those early days, offering a vivid glimpse into the world as he saw it.
Danielius Kvartunas’ photographs are not just images; they are windows into the past. Each photograph tells a story, painting a picture of life as it was in 1964.

"None of Us Are Enjoying This"
But I did. Through the rainy streets of Utrecht I followed my way into a cozy cafe to find my dear dear friend Jackie preparing for her premiere of “None of Us Are Enjoying This” crafted by her with collaborator Jędrzej Jędraszyk. To me it was not merely a performance but an invitation to pause, contemplate, and feel. [read more..]
there are (no)rules
Some tips I collected while working as a photographer over the years to help you prepare for a photoshoot.
(un)framing moments
The magic truly happens in the "behind the scenes" moments. It's the connection forged with my subjects, the shared laughter, the whispered stories, and the unspoken bonds that become an integral part of the visual tale. These moments are the heartbeat of my artistry, the raw emotions that infuse life into every frame. […]

Standing (on the shoulders of) giants
I am so happy to finally feel that Lithuania has changed. The feeling we used to hold so close of the smaller and inferior country is feeling further and further away. We are proud of so many things - and we don't need to feel lesser for maybe some weirder aspects of that. Yes, its all ours and it's something that is important to remember - it's okay you find our pink soup a little strange or skyscrapers aren't tall enough. Finally we can be proud of the authenticity, of the unique quirkiness we hold. And it's okay. And it’s awesome!
Like folding air
Exactly a week ago I made my first balloon animal. A dog. A good one. For a first attempt anyways. It felt strange to be in a space so far away from my daily realities of holding space for stories of trauma, fear and running for safety. It was different. And yet so familiar. This space and those people - I have realized I have spent 23 years in youth work, lifelong learning and non formal education. Maybe scary. Maybe inspiring. Maybe a little bit like folding air…
