Hey! I’m Evelina, but you can call me Evy.

I’m a certified education designer, an expert diversity, equity and inclusion coach, facilitator, philanthropist, an advocate for lifelong learning, a producer, photographer, and graphic artist amongst other things a community manager of arts communities in Amsterdam. I’m passionate about multi-disciplinary learning and enabling transformative growth.

Like so many, I started my journey working in the corporate world. After some years of trying to find my one place, I couldn’t help but feel there was a different place for me.

I’ve always had an insatiable curiosity and diverse range of interests and was sure there was a way that I could bring my combination of interests and creativity in a unique set together and help others to experience and grow within themselves.

I was sure there was a way that I could bring my seemingly unconnected interests together in a creative and effective manner to help bring change for others to reach their greatest potential. I knew that I needed to grow as a person and discover my purpose. But for as long as I can remember I’ve been drawn to the infinite potential of human creation and ability.

That passion brought me to work with humanitarian aid agencies across Europe and MEA as a youth trainer. Helping vulnerable youths in (high) conflict zones. It was some of my most challenging and expansive learning experiences, and more than I could ever have expected. During those years I learnt more about myself and just how capable each and everyone one of us are.

I found that despite the circumstances these individuals found themselves, they still had optimism for a brighter better future. It was in spite of their situation not because of it that they strove to make a change for themselves and their community.

Being a part of these complex circumstances drew me to expand my own skills as I worked more closely with the groups facilitating the aide work to these vulnerable communities. My focus moved to human rights education, conflict management, mediation, and non-violent communication. Developing education programmes for those conducting works in the field and for those they were aiding.

Navigating the complexity of human needs and desires in highly volatile environments challenged my strength and abilities but only served to strengthen my conviction that as humans we have limitless potential to effect great change.

Returning from humanitarian work, has also been my return to the business world. Reflecting on my experiences exposed the power of purposeful learning design.

My focus has turned to designing adult education programmes for transformative change and life-long learning. My time as a humanitarian aid worker proved to me how much change we are able to achieve when we are able to come together as a group of individuals working cohesively and purposely.

My method is to blend the individual needs with the group needs. How to navigate the complexity of our relationships with each other and embrace the individual talents and come together as a team.

Own your growth.
