Part of the Feast
Seeing my photograph published in The Word’s Faire “The Feast” has been a very special moment for me. As a photographer, I’ve always aimed to capture moments that tell a story, evoke emotion, and share beauty with the world. And to have this opportunity to be seen in the copy of the publication is a very special experience.
The journey to this point has been filled with anticipation. I usually submit my work with no big expectations and I think we don’t talk enough about all the “no'“s that we receive creatively but also in life… The Word’s Faire is known for its commitment to showcasing art in its purest form, blending literature, photography, and visual art in a way that captivates and inspires. When the acceptance email arrived, I couldn’t believe it.
There’s something special about holding a beautifully printed magazine. As I flipped through, I reached the page where my photograph was displayed, perfectly laid out and accompanied by thoughtful text that enhanced its meaning. Seeing my work in print in an age dominated by digital content felt like a unique magic of having something tangible, something you can hold in your hands.
Of course, it’s important not to forget a very inspiring woman whose picture I took - Samanta Bohema… who was also featured in my blog around two years ago as part of my passion project - Positive Stories.
This experience has reignited my passion for photography. It’s inspired me to continue pushing my creative boundaries, and to stay committed to telling stories may it be through my lens or my other creative work. There are more stories to tell, more moments to capture, and more dreams to pursue. This is just one chapter in my creative journey, and I’m excited to see where it leads.
