Maria Cavali: Pasirink Savo Kovas (Pick Your Battles)

Kaip pristatytumėte save?
Esu tarptautiniu mastu dirbanti fotografe, daugiausia dirbu su moterimis, kartu su jomis kuriu konceptualias sesijas padedančias pasiekti idealų klientą (Branding Photography)

Kokia veikla užsiimate? Koks buvo jūsų karjeros kelias?

Profesionalią karjerą pradėjau gana vėlai, nors, iš esmės fotografuoti pradėjau jau nuo 16 metų. Šeima norėjo kad studijuočiau politikos mokslus Vilniaus Universitete, tą ir padariau. 

Praktikos metu Amsterdame sutikau be galo daug žmonių, kurie daro ką myli ir myli ką daro, dirba sau, tai mane įkvėpė siekti savo svajonės ir taip pamažu pradėjau profesionalios fotografės kelią.

Šiuo metu daug keliauju, tobulinuos, gaunu darbų pasiūlymų tiek Paryžiuje, tiek Dubajuje, karantino metu pradėjau fotografuoti nuotoliniu būdu, tad klientų ir galimybių ratas nuolat plečiasi, jaučiuosi laiminga atradusi savo kelią ir nišą ir išdrįsusi siekti savo svajonės.


Kas jums svarbu asmeniniame gyvenime bei kas liečia karjerą? Kokias vertybes išskirtumėte?
Asmeniniame gyvenime  man labai svarbus santykis, santykis su mylimu žmogumi, santykis su vaiku, šeimos santykis.
Karjeroje man svarbiausia yra išlaikyti balansą tarp meilės darbui ir meilės šeimai.
Tiek santykyje tiek karjeroje man svarbiausia judėjimas į priekį, bendrų ketinimų kūrimas bendrystė.


Kokie keliai jus atvedė Nyderlandus? Kur gyvenate ir galbūt gyvenote prieš tai?
Į Nyderlandus pirmą  kartą atvykau VU Politikos mokslų praktikos metu.
Prieš tai gyvenau UK, Prancūzijoje, UAE, nemažai keliavau dirbdama Air Baltic skydžių kompanijoje studijų metu.

Kaip palygintumėte savo gyvenimo kokybę Lietuvoje su gyvenimu užsienyje?

Gyvenimas užsienyje ir gyvenimas Nyderlanduose nėra vienodas.
Nyderlandai išsiskiria geromis sąlygomis kurti verslą, patogia administracine tvarka. Gyvenimas užsienyje ar Lietuvoje man nėra didelis skirtumas. Lietuva man toks pats užsienis, turi savo taisykles, klimatą, specifiką.
Kiekviena šalis turi savo “skonį” ir charakterį, nieko konkrečiai negaliu išskirti.

Ko pasiilgstate būdama užsienyje?
Šokoladinių sūrelių ir sniego per Kalėdas.

Kaip pasikeitė požiūris į Lietuvą bei lietuvius, pradėjus gyventi užsienyje?
Per laiką suvokiau, kad tapau daug atviresnė sau ir kitiems. Tolerancija yra tai, ko iš esmės linkėčiau visiems pasaulio žmonėms.

Kokios jūsų svajonės verčia jus judėti į priekį?

Ketinu gyventi šiltoje šalyje, kur yra mano baze- ramybės oazė, kur ilsiuos nuo gyvenimo triukšmo ir turiu daug privatumo ir laiko sau.
Ketinu ir toliau dirbti su moterimis, įkvėpti jas svajoti, siekti savo tikslų ir mylėti save.

Iš kur semiatės įkvėpimo?
Iš gyvenimo, santykio, vaiko.

Kokia veikla jus domina be darbų, gal turite kokių nors hobių, laisvalaikio užsiėmimų?
Mėgstu kurti, klausytis plokštelių, tobulinti save ir tiesiog leisti sau būti.

Ką patartumėte žmonėms, kurie dvejoja dėl apsisprendimų, gyvenimo kelio pasirinkimų?
Daryti kas rezonuoja per daug apie tai negalvojant, nes kiekvienas pamėgintas dalykas kuris yra “ne tas” priartina prie “to tikrojo”.

Koks geriausias patarimas, kokį esate gavusi?

Kokią Mariją norėtumėte matyti ateityje? Kurlink einate tuo keliu?
Mano gyvenimo sodas taip gražiai žydi, kad net nežinau ko dar galima norėti :)

How would you introduce yourself?

I work internationally as a photographer, working mainly with women, helping them to create a concept and reach their ideal client through visual content (branding photography).

What activities do you do? What was your career path?

Although I have started my career quite late, I have been taking pictures since I was 16 years old. My family wanted me to study political science at Vilnius University, and so I did. 

During my internship in Amsterdam, I met many people who did what they loved and loved their work and they worked for themselves. That inspired me to pursue my dreams and so I gradually started a career path of a photographer.

I am currently traveling a lot, improving, getting job offers in Paris, Dubai. During the lockdown I started taking photos remotely, so the circle of clients and opportunities is constantly expanding. I feel happy to have found my way and a niche after I dared to pursue my dreams.

What is important to you in your personal life and what is relevant to your career? What values would you single out?

In my personal life relationships are the most important - a relationship with a loved one, a relationship with my child, a family relationships. Those are the important things to me.

The most important thing in my career is to maintain a balance between love of work and love of family.  Overall I value moving forward, building common intentions, community.

What roads led you to the Netherlands? Where do you live and maybe you lived before that?

I came to the Netherlands for the first time during my internship at Political Science studies at Vilnius University.

Before that I lived in the UK, France, UAE, I traveled a lot while working for Air Baltic during my studies.

How would you compare your quality of life in Lithuania with living abroad?

Living abroad doesn’t equal living in the Netherlands.

The Netherlands stands out for its good business conditions and convenient administrative procedures. Living abroad or in Lithuania is not a big difference for me. Lithuania is the same foreign country for me, it has its own rules, climate and specifics.

Each country has its own “taste” and character, I can’t single out anything specifically.

What do you miss about Lithuania while being abroad?

Chocolate cheese bars and snow on Christmas.

How has the attitude towards Lithuania and Lithuanians changed after you started living abroad?

Over time, I realized I had become much more open to myself and others. Tolerance is what I would like to wish for basically everyone in the world.

What are your dreams that make you move forward?

I intend to live in a warm country where my base is an oasis of peace, where I could relax from the noise of life and have a lot of privacy and time for myself.

I intend to continue working with women, inspiring them to dream, pursue their goals and love themselves.

Where do you draw your inspiration from?

From life, relationship, my child.

What activities are you interested in without a job, maybe you have some hobbies, leisure activities?

I like to create, listen to records, improve myself and just allow myself to be.

What advice would you give to people who are hesitant about their choices?

Doing something that resonates too much without thinking about it, because every no brings you closer to yes.

What's the best advice you ever got?

“Pick your battles”

What kind of Maria would you like to see in the future? Where are you going that way?

My garden of life is blooming so beautifully that I don't even know what else to want :)

I wish myself and others health and to be able to keep balance at all times.
