Unlocking Potential Together: Reflecting on BASE Conference
Reflecting on the BASE conference and the workshop I got to co-create with my dear friend Veronica, I’m filled with immense gratitude for everyone who made this journey possible. From the vibrant energy of the attendees to the powerful connections bubbling up in the space, each moment reinforced the vision behind also what STRIVE Cards I created for - to go beyond surface interactions and create spaces where empathy and understanding flourish.
My heartfelt thanks to Veronica Guguian, whose dedication to crafting such an impactful event was the foundation of this experience. Her vision and commitment to fostering meaningful professional growth were evident in every detail of the conference. Veronica, thank you for the incredible work you put into BASE and for the opportunity to bring STRIVE Cards to life in such a warm, welcoming setting.
During our workshop, we explored the potential of STRIVE Cards to deepen conversations, connect them to values and bridge the gaps that sometimes exist in both professional and personal realms. Witnessing participants engage so genuinely, seeing them move from curiosity to insight, reminded me why I created STRIVE Cards in the first place. It’s about connection—not only with others but also with ourselves as we challenge our assumptions and explore new perspectives.
Hosting a pop-up experience with the STRIVE Cards ahead of their official launch was an exciting milestone. As I finalize the methodology book to accompany the cards, the workshop feedback provided valuable insights into how people are using and benefiting from these tools. Seeing the cards in action affirmed the potential they hold to inspire a sense of self-awareness and growth that’s accessible and impactful.
To everyone who participated in the workshop, shared their thoughts, and opened their minds to new ways of connecting: thank you. You brought the spirit of STRIVE Cards to life, and I am beyond grateful for your engagement, insights, and enthusiasm.
With the methodology book soon to be published, this journey is just beginning. There’s something profoundly humbling about creating tools that serve others, and I’m thrilled to see where STRIVE Cards will go from here. Let’s continue to explore, grow, and lead with empathy as we connect with ourselves and those around us.
